Growing up in Torquay, I spent much of my childhood along the Devon coastline. I began my career in financial services at the age of 21 and have since gained over 21 years of invaluable experience, continually building my knowledge and expertise in the field.

My career has always been rooted in delivering an exceptional customer experience. I take great pride in developing lasting relationships with my clients, understanding their individual needs, and offering personalised advice that supports them and their families at every stage.

For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of running MW Mortgages. It’s incredibly rewarding to help clients secure the right mortgage and protection solutions, all while ensuring they feel supported, informed, and confident. We’re passionate about offering lifelong, personalised service — not just until the deal completes, but well beyond. As the business continues to grow, I’m proud to welcome talented advisers to the team, each bringing their own strengths and dedication to delivering an outstanding client experience.

Now happily settled in Dorset with my wife and three children, I still enjoy spending time by the coast whenever I can. Outside of work, you’ll often find me on the football pitch — whether I’m coaching my daughter’s team, acting as linesman for my son’s matches, or simply cheering them on from the sidelines.

Image 2 from About | MW MortgagesI made the move to Dorset in 2004 to start my degree in Finance & Business at Bournemouth University. After completing my degree, I stepped straight into the Financial Services sector and now have over 17 years of experience across personal and commercial banking.

I bring a deep understanding of finance and a client first-approach to every mortgage journey. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, remortgaging, or looking at more complex lending, I’m here to make the process as clear, simple and stress-free as possible!

After meeting my wife whilst at university we remain living in Dorset with our two children and love spending time outdoors – whether it’s at the beach or exploring the New Forest with our two dogs. I’m a big football fan, coach my son’s team, and still enjoy playing six-a-side myself.

I genuinely enjoy helping people take one of the biggest steps in their lives—owning a home—and I take pride in being someone they can trust to guide them with clarity and care.

I have 13 years experience in Financial Services and I feel passionate about helping people make informed decisions, tailored to their individual circumstances. There is something really special about seeing the whole journey through from and initial first chat, to the completion of one of life's biggest events - home ownership.

I grew up in Bournemouth, and moved to Dorchester in 2012, Where I settled with my wife and started raising our Daughters.

I can remember when I was a first time buyer, how daunting and complex buying a property seemed. I felt that if I could help simplify the process for people then that is what I would do. I really enjoy providing Mortgage advice, helping clients secure their first home and making a positive difference to their lives. Whether this is your first home purchase, you're growing your property portfolio or your fixed rate deal is coming to an end, I have the experience to guide you through the process.

Carly Ings, Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Image 4 from About | MW MortgagesI grew up on Portland and moved to Dorchester 11 years ago. Having lived in Dorset all my life, I feel incredibly fortunate to call such a beautiful, coastal county my home.

My career began in retail banking, where I spent 15 years supporting people with their financial wellbeing. During this time, I developed a strong foundation in customer care, financial guidance, and helping people navigate important personal decisions. For the last six years, I’ve worked within the NHS as a project manager, building skills in communication, problem‑solving, and delivering solutions that make a real difference to people’s lives.

Although I’ve valued my time in the NHS, I felt it was time to return to what I enjoy most: helping people on a one‑to‑one basis. Mortgage and protection advice felt like the perfect way to bring together my financial background, my love of supporting others, and my enthusiasm for clear, simple, digital solutions. If I can make someone’s life easier, remove stress, or bring clarity to a complex situation, I’m truly satisfied.

Finance can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to take that fear away - cutting through the noise and giving every client the information and confidence they need to make the right decision for their individual situation. I believe in creating a relaxed, friendly environment where people feel supported, informed, and reassured that they have someone they can trust by their side throughout the process.

Image 5 from About | MW MortgagesMy Career to date has seen me working in retail banking, the social care sector, and more recently in the voluntary and charitable sector, where I undertook the role of Chief Operating Officer for a local charity—overseeing day-to-day operations, deputising for the CEO, and contributing to the organisation’s strategic direction.

In my ‘spare’ time, I enjoy spending time with my family, weekends away and training for fitness racing events - which is a new hobby I have grown to love!

Now at MW Mortgages, working alongside my Husband, Matt and Team, I’m excited to use my experience to support the smooth running of the business and help ensure our clients receive the highest standard of service—while our expert advisers focus on finding the right Mortgage & Protection solutions.
